Turn is an open submission dance platform for North West dancers and dance-makers aged 18 and above. North West based dancers or dance-makers looking for an opportunity to present performance work are invited to submit proposals of finished pieces or excerpts of dance, works in progress and sited dance performances in and around greenroom building, for a new a micro-festival. As a result of our partnership with DiGM we are able to commission one new dance piece (up to £1,500) with first presentation at greenroom.

Turn

• To move or spin in a circular direction around an axis

• A bend or curve in a road or a change in circumstances

• An opportunity coming successively to a number of people

• A short performance, one of a number given by different performers

• A techie name for an Artiste. – ‘what time do the turns get here?’

North West dancers and dance-makers (aged 18+) are invited to submit proposals of short pieces of work, works in progress or extracts of longer works for inclusion in this event. Maximum 20 minutes, technically simple and suitable to be shown alongside other pieces.

Turn takes place in March, opens for proposals in early September with an end of October deadline.
