greenroom’s bar is relaxed and informal with a wide range of hot and cold drinks available. We have recently introduced a new range of real ales, fruit beers and fresh juices, as well as some tasty nuts and crisps! Also - watch out for new special offers, which will be displayed on the blackboard in the bar.

There’s usually something exciting happening every night that we’re open, with regular live music events such as Green Bohemia; electronic music, visuals and sonic immersion from MANTIS; poetry, music and spoken word from Speakeasy; quirky live entertainment from The Cabaret of Ida Bucket; regular DJ nights such as Jam Side Up; multi-media performance from Sometimes Co.; and Japanese music, film and animation from NanimeW. We also host one-off special events and private parties such as wedding receptions, birthdays, fundraisers and small music gigs.

We’re committed to making the bar programme as accessible and adventurous as possible, often working with creative individuals and groups to present original and leftfield events and live performances. The bar programme is a great opportunity for creative people to try out new ideas; and a fantastic entry point for audiences looking to experience something a bit different.

The bar and box office foyer are also used as an exhibition space with monthly exhibitions by North West based visual artists.

greenroom bar is a great place to meet as a group and is also available to hire for private events at a low-cost. We can be flexible and responsive to your needs, though our busy regular programme means available dates are in high demand.

The bar’s ground floor is fully accessible; but unfortunately the mezzanine area is not accessible for people using wheelchairs.

The bar now has Wi-Fi available for all our customers.

The bar is open from 5pm Wednesday to Friday, and from 6pm on Saturdays, usually with late night events on Fridays and Saturdays. Some events mean we open a bit later than this, so please check the late night event listings for specific information.
