The 2010 Turn Prize presented by DiGM / greenroom / hÅb.

Abandoned Things The world premiere of 2010’s Turn Prize winner, Abandoned Things is a powerful, poetic, physically moving new dance creation

Struggling not to let her go, one of them can only promise and the other will have to fade away… they are the abandoned things.

Performed by an all female cast, Abandoned Things is a work about the moment when past and future occupy the same space and a hair’s breadth separates loss and hope. Physical tensions merge with emotional undercurrents in a dynamic, eloquent yet exhausting struggle not to be left behind.

Choreographed by Joseph Lau, a Manchester based dance artist originally from Brisbane, Australia.

TURN Prize is a commission from Dance Initiative Greater Manchester, hÅb and greenroom.
