Now well into its fifth year, Green Bohemia is one of Manchester’s longest running acoustic/band original music nights.
Due to overwhelmingly popular demand, Green Bohemia now hosts two nights every month of the year, on consecutive Saturdays, featuring the best music from this fantastic city, from a host of great artists and bands performing 100% original music. Some are signed, some are not, all are brilliant!
September’s events feature some fantastic returning artists to the Green Bohemia stage plus, as always, some brand new acts playing their debut show at the night. Some of the highlights include:
- Manchester legend and general music hero “guitar George” – aka George Borowski – returns to the Green Bohemia stage for an intimate stripped down set, (preceding his big Academy 3 show next month).
- -The debut performance at Green Bohemia for the fantastically quirky Vinny Peculiar [aka Alan Wilkes] - who is a Manchester singer-songwriter; he’s released six albums, three EPs, a book of poems, worked as an artist in residence with Bill Drummond [KLF, The 17] and his various bands have included ex members of The Smiths, The Fall and Oasis.
- A long awaited return to Green Bohemia for the fabulous Joshua Ben Joseph, who was responsible for originally setting up Green Bohemia!
- A very special one-off acoustic performance from Carjack Mallone, who are renowned for their massive live shows all over Manchester at venues such as The Ritz and Manchester Academy 2!!
- The debut performance for Michaela Turner-Millar, and her incredible 7 piece band…. a real treat for Green Bohemia!
