It’s that time of the year again when Green Bohemia raises the bar to dizzying heights and puts on a massive all-weekend celebration of the absolute best of the best of 7 years of the night as part of Manchester’s prestigious IN THE CITY Festival. The Green Bohemia In The City Special is one of the most talked-about events of the year, having several years of packed out, incredible shows under its belt from previous years and showcasing artists like Karima Francis, Kid British, The Crookes, Jo Rose, Rook & The Ravens and Louis Barabbas the previous year – to mention just a handful – up on the wonderfully intimate mezzanine balcony at greenroom!
This year’s event is no different with an absolutely star-studded jam-packed bill including the likes of Manchester’s undoubtedly most talked-about band of 2010, I AM BLACKBIRD, back from a string of Festival appearances and major support gigs with all kinds of high profile acts; Manchester legend George Borowski, whose song-writing talent is second to none; Matthew Whitaker (previously frontman of the much-loved Whisky Cats) with his brand new acoustic project; Manc institution Vinny Peculiar; the wonderful Janice Graham Band, who are causing a big stir on the current music scene; fantastic song-writing group the Northern Song Collective, bursting with the area’s most talented and respected writers; and loads loads more!!
