The weather is getting warmer, the sun is starting to shine & the beer is starting to taste even better! Try to imagine yourself supping a cold one on a warm evening with your friends, listening to some truly amazing acts as they serenade YOU! In May Green Bohemia boasts 12 bands across two back to back dates, presenting some of the best talent the city has to offer! We have a truly tantalising line-up of excellent artists spread over Friday and Saturday including some newcomers and some old favourites!
Highlights include:
Ellen & the Escapades – Emerging Talent Competition winners set to play Glastonbury’s MAIN STAGE this year! Ellen and the Escapades have more good words said about them than we’ve had hot dinners, a must see band that are well on their way to success! Being highly influenced by legendary folk acts such as Bob Dylan and Carole King, as well as contemporary indie acts like The Coral and Cat Power, Ellen and the Escapades have found a happy medium with their tight, down to earth, organic sound.
Crooked Rooks – with a unique sound about them the Crooked Rooks stand out from most other bands on the circuit. A quirky, alternative & talented band fairly new on the scene but already impressing all the right people. “…lyrical intrigue that makes you want to delve deeper into their possibly quite dark world: “When The Wind Hits The Sails” being melodically reminiscent of Nick Cave channeling Johnny Cash whilst the brilliant “Heigh Ho The Carrion Crow” can only be described as a neo-gothic sea shanty…the sort of band that have “festival favourites” written all over them.” Cath Aubergine - manchestermusic.co.uk
Kristyna Myles - Supporters of Kristyna include Tony Moore, manager of the legendary Bedford music venue in Balham whose stage she will be performing on at SXSW. The Bedford has played a pivotal role in the careers of artists such as James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, KT Tunstall and soon enough you will be able to add Kristyna Myles to that list. 
Since winning BBC radio 5’s Busker of the Year Award Kristyna has performed her songs on BBC television and radio, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, toured across Europe, supported Mick Hucknall on his UK tour and been nominated for a MOBO Award as part of the gospel act DTWG.
