In February 2007, 15 people pitched their ideas to greenroom to win a commission and to feature in greenroom’s summer programme.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we bring you the winners:
Sometimes… Co present Wouldn’t It Be Nice?
Have you ever wondered about the price of everything and the value of nothing?
For a limited time only, it’s one pound. Sometimes… Co launch the installation of 500 objects purchased from the general public on the 12 May in Manchester’s city centre.
Rearranging 500 items purchased for £1 from the general public in an emotive setting, Sometimes… Co present their first Manchester group exhibition. Using a mixture of real life objects, video, photography and personal nuggets, Wouldn’t It Be Nice? weaves a thought provoking narrative.
Sometimes… Co is a dedicated, evolutionary, 20 strong, multi-disciplinary art collective, formed in Preston specializing in new media installation, sound and performance. In its six year history the group have hosted numerous art-platforms, exhibitions, live shows and currently hosts the greenroom’s resident volume nights.
The launch event also includes a meet and greet with the 500 invited traders and their favourite music, and takes place in the workspace on the 1st of June and then the installation continues throughout June in the openspace.
The majority of the exhibition will be displayed within the openspace (bar) some pieces can be viewed in the box office foyer.
Opening times for the bar are Wednesday to Friday from 5pm until at least 11pm and on Saturday from 6pm until at least midnight.
