Residents moved out to suburbs and high ground around ‘rain town.’ People’s memories are now deeply submerged. But into this forgotten rainy town sometimes, someone wanders.’
8:10pm : anime short : Calligraphists (Shoka) - In Edo, Japan, calligraphists are not mere writers, they can bring drawings to life and wield power over writing. Three calligraphists from the art-wielding clan join up to fight against an exiled calligraphist and his minions to protect the Tokugawa shogunate.
8:35pm : anime short : On Your Mark – Music video directed by Studio Ghibli’s Hayao Miyazaki for Japanese band Chage & Aska. Two policemen rescue a winged girl from a religious cult and help her to freedom.

9:10pm : anime film : Summer Wars – Eleventh grade maths genius, Kenji, agrees to take a summer job at the Nagano hometown of his crush, Natsuki. When he arrives, he finds that her family have reunited to celebrate the 90th birthday of the family matriarch and his job is to pretend to be Natsuki’s fiancĂ©. Meanwhile, his attempt to solve a mathematical equation causes chaos in the on-line virtual world of OZ and it is up to Kenji, Natsuki and her family to bring OZ back under control.
