“A photo is able to capture a moment that people can’t always see.” Harry Callahan

This exhibition explores the natural world as it should be seen – up close and appreciated.

Presented is the commonplace and often forgotten beauty surrounding our everyday lives as it struggles against its man-made environment. We often overlook the allure and charm of nature because of the predominantly fabricated lives we live. By capturing them in a moment, we are able to hold on to natural beauty even after it is long gone.

Sarah first became fascinated with nature when she noticed how interesting it could be – creeping up through pavement cracks and out of brick walls. The patterns and aesthetics alone were engrossing but the fact that nature was reclaiming back its rightful places on earth was also thought provoking and led her to look even further.

In nature up close, Sarah’s work gives people a chance to gain a universal understanding, a commendation and explanation of the simple, yet amazing, elements that form a big part of our world. Sarah Patel 2
