Don’t miss it …. Once a month on a Wednesday night…
This month ‘S’Not P’Inc. presents a FAB DIVAS night featuring:
HOLLY BURTON
Originally from Seattle, Holly has now spent many years in Greater Manchester. Holly used to be the main musician for Headline Cabaret in the 90’s in which the News of the Week was performed with guest comperes such as Anthony Wilson, Noreen Kershaw, David Fleeshman and Mike Harding. She is a performer with real charisma and a powerful stage presence. Holly is ‘no fragile folk singer’, she is one Fab Diva!
RISA HALL
Risa is originally from New York but is also a long-time resident in Manchester. She grew up with the Ramones - her brother is still best friends with Mickey Leigh, Joey Ramone’s brother. Risa’s background is in acting (Frenchy in the Broadway cast of Grease) and voice over (Red Dwarf, Emmerdale, Stuart Little 2) but her first love was always music. She has been described by BBC Manchester is being ‘lyrically courageous and musically eclectic‘. Coincidentally, Risa was also a member of Headline Cabaret!
CAROLINE ENGLAND
Compared to Norah Jones crossed with Alanis Morisette, this year is a promising time for Caroline as she plays gigs up and down the country promoting her newly released EP Comforting Words. A BBC ‘One to Watch’ performer in Liverpool’s Capital of Culture, Caroline is a striking flame haired beauty with a voice as powerful as Janis Joplin, and has has been described as ‘a prolific singer‘.
DONNA MARIE
Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and Producer, Donna Marie has been involved in music for most of her life. She Started out playing keys in local bands then quickly moved into singing in bars, clubs and pubs. Back in 2007 she supported a number of big names including Scottish singer/songwriter Amy Macdonald. 2008 promises to be an even busier year, with new material and a great new band.
