Another Curious Idea present The Storytelling Sleigh, an awe-inspiring mini theatre in the round. Originally commissioned for BBC RaW, as a unique and enjoyable way of engaging families with the magic of storytelling, this hexagonal box of delights of intriguing design featuring colourful fabrics, comfortable interior and bizarre sound effects creates “… an endearing and magical ‘den’ for children to climb inside and explore!â€?
Especially for Christmas the ‘Magical Storymakers Theatre’ transforms into a spectacular sleigh, complete with life size reindeer!
Families climb inside this enchanting mini theatre, for a fun filled Christmas adventure with puppets, sound effects and music. greenroom associate the M.E.N. award winning actor Ben Faulks weaves together both beautiful and comical storytelling to create a truly enchanting, one-off experience.
This Christmas you will be whisked away to the fairytale land of ‘The Magic Porridge Pot’, where the children help create the scenery and interact with the stories and characters that they meet.
This is a truly enchanting and inspirational festive experience for children (suitable for ages 3 – 11) and their families, a fantastic alternative festive activity.
The Funday Sunday includes a making workshop where families will be able to make hobby horses and send letters to Santa.
*Funday activities begin at 10am with performances at 11am, 11.45am, 12.30pm, 2.15pm, 3pm, 3.45pm and 4.30pm. Each performances will last 30 minutes, and has a capacity of 18 people per show (children and adults). Wheelchair access is available for one wheelchair user per time slot - please book in advance should you require wheelchair space. The performance is also suitable for the visually impaired and hearing impaired (although please note that the performance is not signed.)
