Make an appointment at The Cutting Room; a new play written and performed by Salford graduates Rebekah Maine and Caroline Emmerton.
Take a look into the world of indivduality, gossip and drama… after all ‘Talking to your hairdresser is like talking to your therapist‘ - Andie MacDowell.
Writer Rebekah Maine says “Myself and Caroline graduated last year and gained a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Performing Arts degree at the University of Salford. Since graduating we have been working individually as professional actors with the industry. We have been writing/performing together for 3 years.
“Cutting Room is our self written comedy set in the working class north. The two woman show is 45 minutes long and sees us take on multiple roles in order to portray the lives of those running and visiting the hair salon.
“We enjoy researching and writing about real life, real situations and real people. Our work tends to offer a post feminist viewpoint, with feminist theatre being a key area that we studied whilst in training at Salford University.”
