The Package

Sat 17th March 2007, 8pm

package

Three actors. One mysterious box. Lots of words.

The Package is a journey through black humour into the hideous heart of desperation.

“Between the horrible shocks that hurtle out of the blue, and the mundane miseries you can see coming a mile off; there is a crevice where the spores of wonder and excitement sprout. We went there, scraped some up, and put them in a package – WANNA SEE?”

WHAT IS IN THE PACKAGE?!?!?!

This will be a show of an hour or so, in which the merry players of SWINE THEATRE combine hideous comedy, elaborate word-wrangling and diseased philophizing in a desperate attempt to keep you entertained.

“It’ll be a laugh. There will be movies, swearing, and a wide range of English regional accents, impersonated with varying degrees of success.”

SWINE THEATRE are:

TOM LIGGET: Prancing/muttering/pathos

TAM HINTON: Show off/scribe

KAREN MCLEOD: Hudder(sfield) from another planet

THE PACKAGE: It’s a play. It’s a comedy. It’s a bunch of wierdos.

A greenroom Ready? commission.
