A groups of individuals gather, eyes poised on the microphone. Meanwhile, a mass of people huddle together sharing stories, murmuring over vessels of liquid in anticipation of the unexpected. Yes, ladies and mens. It’s VaudeVille once again. The avant-garde cabaret night which aims to showcase new ideas and works in the form of video, spoken word and music.

Harrowing tales from the notorious writer, video artist and performer TAM HINTON from SWINE THEATRE
Acoustic musical meanderings floating out of DAVE WILLIAMS
A recreation of the opening of Niagara Falls from GARETH CUTTER
And last, but not least, syllables strapped together along with a pint and a pie all expelled from NEIL BELL

The ethos of VaudeVille is inspired by the original Cabaret Voltaire (circa 1913) - deliberately absurd performances, poetry, and visual art that embrace the extraordinary, the irrational, and the contradictory. If you want to see avant-garde original movies, a bicycle on fire or even a sock puppet version of A Streetcar Named Desire then VaudeVille is for you!
