Do you secretly long for a return to those halcyon big-brother days before we were seduced (like teenagers from countryside) by this alluring new DEMOCRACY, a time when a secret policeman was on every street corner , men bent stolidly to the plough and a hot-beverage flavoured drink was reassuringly, consistently CHEAP?!
well… muscular shot-putting ladies, moustached gentlemen and citizens of all descriptions are hereby invited to a daring new experiment in cabaret art presented by VaudeVille; a communist-themed (if not historically accurate at-all TBC) night of: sLAvic (possibly) live music, (AgiT-prop) Theatre (swine theatre), The Laptop Orchestra – (combining the modernity of portable computing with the output-boosting sensibility of collectivism?) in why-fidelity sound via unique Utility Speaker system Radical (and yet historically ancient) PUppeTry.
All this and more with none of the inconvenient chafing associated with PURGES or extErmination of intellectuals, the deformed etc. plus cheap hot beverage available all-night!

The ethos of VaudeVille is inspired by the original Cabaret Voltaire (circa 1913) – deliberately absurd performances, poetry, and visual art that embrace the extraordinary, the irrational, and the contradictory. If you want to see avant-garde original movies, a bicycle on fire or even a sock puppet version of A Streetcar Named Desire then VaudeVille is for you!
