The avant-garde cabaret night VaudeVille grins its teeth again this month with an electric range of performers wedged between its teeth. Starting off with video work from around the world, you may also expect, my lucky dears, the spoken words of Kiren King, Conor Aylward and Neil Bell, whilst the electronic musings of Vieka Plays cradles with her troupes musical passions.
We are also excited to bring you presence of the Manchester Comix Collective to the night. YES! Not only now can you witness spectacular performance but also browse through ‘zines and meet their creators including the MCC founder, Adam Cadwell. Perhaps you may want to get involved and have a scribble too during the night. Perhaps? Perhaps not?
See you there, you lovely people you.
…about VaudeVille
Drown your bitterness in the strong liquor of VaudeVille. This is new electronic artists cabaret; a selection of the best new performance, video & music from VaudeVille collaborators.
The ethos of VaudeVille is inspired by the original Cabaret Voltaire (circa 1913) - deliberately absurd performances, poetry, and visual art that embrace the extraordinary, the irrational, and the contradictory. If you want to see avant-garde original movies, a bicycle on fire or even a sock puppet version of A Streetcar Named Desire then VaudeVille is for you!
