greenroom is delighted to announce that Blank Media Collective is leading our exhibitions programme for 2 years from Autumn 2010.
BMC look forward to highlighting some of the best emerging talent from around the UK, and are opening the call for 2D work to be considered for our forthcoming Autumn/Winter exhibitions programme… To submit your work, simply follow the easy steps below:
- Create your very own online portfolio for free at www.blankmediacollective.org/join
- Upload up to 10 pieces of work*, along with your Resume [CV] and Artists Statement
- Send a link to your Blank Media Collective URL [ie. www.blankmediacollective.org/portfolios/joe_bloggs] to the curators at exhibitions@blankmediacollective.org clearly stating that the work should be considered for the greenroom exhibitions programme
[*Please note: only 2D work can be considered for the exhibitions programme at greenroom. If you work within another format please do still upload your work for consideration in future exhibitions curated by Blank Media Collective elsewhere]
Deadline for submissions: Friday 21st May 2010 – 12pm noon
FURTHER INFORMATION
- Blank Media Collective will be curating four exhibitions per year at greenroom from Autumn 2010 to Spring 2012
- Each exhibition will be approximately 2 months and include a Public Preview
- Blank Media Collective will provide full support and mentoring for the selected artists
- Funding for selected artists will be announced in due course
- The open-call for submissions will be ongoing for the next 2 years. Exhibitions will be selected two at a time and curated by the Blank Media Collective Exhibitions team
- An announcement will be made shortly before each selection meeting to prompt artists to submit their work
- Work that has not been officially submitted from Blank Media Collective’s portfolios may also be taken into consideration

Established in 2006, Blank Media Collective champions emerging artists, writers, musicians and practitioners through exhibitions, performance, free portfolio hosting on their website and via their online magazine, blankpages. Under Director Mark Devereux, the organisation has gained an excellent reputation, particularly within Manchester and the North West. Blank Media Collective are actively involved in a range of other projects which can be found on their website.
