Walking History Tours

In autumn 2009, greenroom presented a series of live walking history tours, reconnecting us to the city & offering the different personal perspectives of our specially invited guides. Whilst the live tours have been & gone, we invite you to take your own tour. Three guides take you on three very different tours:

Jeremy Shine, co-founder of greenroom & architect of Streets Ahead, takes a tour of the sites of greenroom performances, before we had a building.

Tosh Ryan, a musician & cultural provocateur, travels back in time to the optimistic post-Second World War era, to the beginnings of the revolution that was to put Manchester at the centre of the cultural landscape of Britain.

Lip Service, the award-winning Mancunian female double-act, give a light-hearted reflection on the 1980’s feminist cultural revolution.

Whilst the live tours have been & gone, we invite you to take your own tour, by downloading the MP3’s & maps here.
