Drunken Chorus Arts Collective
Drunken Chorus Arts Collective was set up in August 2005 by Emma Buck and Chris Williams.
They have created a number of works, ranging from installation and performance to site-specific and community projects.
Chris and Emma’s work has so far been concerned with discovering their own style, their own medium, their own unique mode of address. As they come closer to achieving this it has become more apparent that their work is interested in people, in how we live our lives, in how we construct ourselves in life, on the stage and in the imagination.
lost & found [or the friend we never knew] was performed as part of emergency and was developed for Method Lab.
Lost and Found (or the friend we never knew) Drunken Chorus Arts Collective
‘somebody has been losing things and we’ve been picking them up’
lost & found [or the friend we never knew] is a performance about Chris and Emma’s quest to find their unfortunate unknown friend.
Mixing documentary and fantasy, the two of them recount the details of their journey around England and Italy in search of the friend they never knew. lost & found is a naively optimistic comedy that secretly delves into love, loneliness and the end of the world.
The rehearsal and development period for the work was concerned with how the performance can exist both in the space on stage and in the space of the imagination, how journeys and stories can be mapped out within the confines of a theatre space.
